Iconic 1995 Porsche 911 993 Carrera Cabriolet with 6-Speed Manual Gearbox! Finished in stunning, Midnight Blue Metallic, with Blue Convertible Top and contrasted by a Cashmere/Blue Partial Leather Interior. The vehicle was delivered to its first owner in California in the spring of 1995 and has only accumulated 28k miles in the following 28 years. The 993 contains 30 years of development to the platform adding many modern features. The 3.6 liter flat six air cooled engine rated at 272 HP mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox provides spirted performance. The multilink, coil-over rear suspension assists in making the handling of this rear engine sport car much more predictable than earlier incarnations.

I’ve owned and enjoyed several 993’s over the years going back to when they were new. It’s been a few years since I’ve had the pleasure of driving one so when this beauty came into inventory, I didn’t hesitate to take it for an extended test drive. It was like meeting an old friend that I hadn’t seen for a while, everything fell into place when I got behind the wheel and the memories of drives long past came flooding back. What a joy this time capsule 911 is! It provides much of the original 1960’s 911 experience with the added modern conveniences of, power steering/clutch/brakes and air conditioning that actually works. With the top down on a nice country back road, no modern car can replicate this experience! There is a reason that the 993 has now reached collector status.

My Impressions:

I’m fortunate to be able to drive and enjoy many different Porsche Sports Cars through my business, they are all exceptional in their own right/era. So far, I’ve only driven this car for a few miles, but it has left a huge positive impression on me, and I would be hard pressed to consider anything else if I was in the market to add a convertible to my stable this season.

Fabulous 2010 987.2 Porsche Boxster S Roadster, 6 Speed Manual, finished in Classic Carrera White, contrasted by Black Convertible Top and a Black Partial Leather interior with deviating stitching. Having had just two Southern owners who added a modest 16k miles the car is in immaculate condition and has clearly been lovely cared for its entire life.  The vehicle has been subject to regular oil changes over the years and received a major service in 2022 so it’s completely up to date for the new owner. Background:

When the 987.2 Boxster was introduced for the 2009 model year it represented a major mechanical for the platform. The introduction of the new DFI Engine eliminated all of the potential issues associated with the previous engine design. The “S” offers focused performance from the 3.4-liter 310 HP engine mated to a silky smooth 6-speed manual gearbox. With Sport Chrono mode engaged, the performance gets even more intense. The mid-engine layout provides excellent weight balance and go-kart like handling.

The 981 is my favorite generation of the Porsche Boxster and this S in Platinum Silver Metallic ticks all the boxes. Porsche comes up with some great limited-edition models to commemorate notable racing cars and victories in the company’s history. This RS60 Spyder #187 of 1960 produced worldwide in 2008 (800 came to North America) to celebrate the iconic giant slaying factory race car from 1960 that took overall victory at the 12 hours of Sebring against much more powerful competition from Ferrari. Now you have the chance to visit Porsche’s glorious racing past, time to put the top down and imagine you’re racing down the back straight at Sebring Florida as the sun goes down on a Saturday evening in March 1960 ready to take the checkered flag in victory!
